How to Draw Cubine, Step by Step
Cubine turns a grid of squares into a field of little boxes. Each square gets a top and a side drawn behind it, and filling one side black makes the whole section pop into 3D.
Step 1 of 3
Draw a grid of small squares with space between them.
Watch it draw stroke by stroke, pause on any step, then try it yourself on paper.
Cubine step by step
- Step 1
Draw a grid of small squares with space between them.
- Step 2
From the top and right of each square, draw the top face and side face as if looking at a cube from slightly above.
- Step 3
Fill the side face of every cube with black.
Tips for a neat Cubine
- Keep every cube's offset the same direction and length, or the 3D effect breaks.
- Draw all the diagonal edges parallel to each other.
- Fill the same face on every cube to show a single light source.
Variations to try
- Fill the top faces instead of the sides.
- Stack the cubes so they touch for a solid wall of boxes.
